Getting Real at GRCC
Getting Real Counseling Center (GRCC) knows that getting real with yourself can be a difficult process. GRCC was founded by Kelly Simonson, Ph. D, who has owned and operated her own solo practice for nearly a decade. In June of 2021, Kelly made the incredible decision to expand the practice to incorporate a pair of young talented UGA graduates to serve a larger client base, placing emphasis on underserved and marginalized communities within Athens-Clarke County. The GRCC team has intentionally crafted a space that is anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink affirming, sex positive, Health at Every Size (HAES) oriented, and one that affirms and is familiar with working with issues related to ethical non-monogamy. Kelly, Cliff, and Saron are happy to sit with you and address anything that you believe is holding you back from living your best life, specializing in services catered to eating disorders (ED) and body image, LGBTQIA+ issues, self-injury, trauma (emotional, physical, and religious), kink, ethical non-monogamy (ENM), and relationships. The Center’s focus is getting real about your mental health, placing emphasis on getting real with yourself, others, and the world.
If you are ready to get real with yourself, Getting Real Counseling can get you there. It requires courage to take the first steps into seeking counseling and we are thankful you’ve found your way here.
