Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where are you located?

Where can I park?

  • There is a parking available in back of the building, additional overflow parking is available to rear of the building as well, near the apartments.

Are you near city transit?

  • We are within one minutes’ walking distance to bus stops at Cedar Creek and Hilsman Middle School.

Do I need to fill out paperwork before my visit?

  • You will need to complete the Intake Paperwork before the first session.  It should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and contains important information about confidentiality, privacy, cancellations, and fee collection and we will discuss it at length during the first meeting. When you call to make an appointment, you will get an email with the link to the paperwork.

How much do your services cost?

  • The first session you have will be considered an intake to help assess your concerns, goals, and to see if we might be a good fit to work together. Intakes are 60 minutes and cost $120-175 depending on your counselor. Individual sessions are approximately 55 minutes and cost $120-150. In an effort to make counseling more affordable, we have a few slots with our full time staff for those who cannot afford our full fee. In addition, we have MSW Interns who can offer sessions at a lower cost. Please let us know if you require a sliding scale accommodation.

Do you take insurance?

  • We accept some insurance policies but not all providers take each of these insurance policies. Currently, we accept Blue Cross/ Blue Shield, United, Cigna and Aetna.

    • If we are in network with your insurance provider, we will file these insurance claims for you.

We are an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies (or if your provider is not in network with a particular insurance company), which means we can give you a receipt with the necessary information provided so that you could file for direct reimbursement from the insurance company (if they provide any).

  • For example, you pay $120/ session at the time of the meeting. You meet twice a month and pay $240. We give you a receipt and you file it with your insurance company. Your insurance company then processes this claim as out of network and reimburses you a percentage of what you paid (often 50-60%). The insurance company will then send a check directly to you for the amount. In the example above, if they reimburse 60%, you will get a check for $144. This means your cost per session was $48. This is less than the cost of a sliding scale fee and it contributes to your out-of-network deductible.
